Our client in the North Central Valley is searching for an experienced IT Help Desk/Technical Support representative.  This position will be on a contract basis for 3-6 months with the possibility of going permanent. To qualify for the position you will need to have the following minimum experience level and capabilities:

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform local and remote troubleshooting of hardware, software, printer/scanner, network, and telephone

Identify, research, resolve and document technical problems by responding to personnel requests for technical support
Install, configure, upgrade and deploy computer hardware and software

Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors for service

Provide informal training and guidance to end-users

Completes projects as assigned in the IT area


Qualifications

At least one year experience in computer hardware and software support is preferred
Knowledge, skill and ability are required in Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7
Knowledge about common PC applications such as Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus and Internet Browsers.
General understanding of TCP/IP networks
Good technical problem solving skills
Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Efficient research, organizational and time management skills

Must be able to lift general computer equipment; desktop computers, monitors and printers
